ETL Tester

Description:

The Sr ETL Tester is responsible for testing data as it moves through the AWS ecosystem, with a focus on creating and manipulating strong SQL queries, generating and manipulating XML, and validating JSON and XML documents. The role involves source to target mapping and SQL querying, understanding database and data warehousing concepts, and experience working with AWS services such as S3, RDS, Redshift, Glue, and Lambda. Experience with Tableau is preferred. Experience in the mortgage industry or finance is preferred but not required. The tester will follow the software development life cycle (SDLC), including analyzing requirements, building test cases, and validating and interpreting results. Attention to detail and strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills are critical. Experience with HIVE and moving raw data from HIVE to Redshift is a plus.

Requirements:

Experience with XML file validation. Proficiency in SDLC processes including analyzing requirements, building test cases, and validating and interpreting results. Hands-on experience with AWS ecosystem services: S3 (unstructured data), Redshift (structured data), RDS, Glue, and Lambda. Strong understanding of database and data warehousing concepts. Preferred experience includes HIVE and background in the mortgage industry or finance. 3-5 years of hands-on software testing experience required. Strong skills in SQL query creation and manipulation, XML generation and manipulation, and experience with JSON.
