Job Description

A well-established industrial service provider is seeking a Manual Machinist to join its team in Lexington, KY. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on technician who takes pride in precision work and wants to play a key role in the restoration and performance optimization of electric motors and rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
• Perform machining and balancing work to restore electric motors and mechanical components
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications
• Conduct dimensional inspections using micrometers, dial indicators, and other tools
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes in compliance with safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in manual machining (motor repair experience is a plus)
• Proficiency with manual lathes and measurement tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Familiarity with electroplating processes is preferred
• Comfortable with physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
