Join Our Team as an Entry-Level Estimator at JND Mechanical!

This role is perfect for someone looking to begin a fulfilling career in construction, with ample opportunities for growth to a Senior Estimator. This a full-time, in-office position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare estimates for HVAC projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review project plans and specifications for accurate bid submissions.
• Work closely with the project management and operations teams to ensure bids align with project goals.
• Obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Develop takeoffs and manage all estimating duties through bid submission.
• Assist in post-award evaluations to refine future estimates and ensure consistent profitability.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and team members to clarify bid details and project requirements.
• Maintain records of bids and proposals in the Bid Log spreadsheet.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the construction industry
• Knowledge of HVAC fundamentals is preferred .
• Ability to read blueprints (training provided).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Focus around customer deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in basic Office programs (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
