Although Old World Santas were his first calling, Bill also carves other pieces: mantles, ornaments, newels, doors—almost anything involving wood. He enjoys finding in the wood—and bringing into being—the thing it was meant to be. Sometimes that means carving, sometimes turning, and sometimes both.
Each piece is one of a kind. And nothing passes through the studio door until it would make Bill happy to own it. Every Old World Father Christmas, therefore, is named, signed, and dated—and bid a bittersweet farewell when he sets off for his new home.
